How to read the tables

Prices are ex VAT, per item, and don’t include the garment. Where five or more shops publish a price, the range is the middle half of them (so the cheapest and dearest quarter are left out); with fewer, it’s lowest to highest. Each table says how many shops it comes from. A dash means too few shops publish that price.

Setup fees, reorders and minimums

Screen setup

Of the 8 screen printers that publish a screen fee, it runs from £15 to £50 per colour, and 6 of them charge £20–£25. A white underbase on dark garments usually counts as an extra screen. A few build setup into the price instead.

Repeat orders

Several shops don't charge screens again when the design, size and colours haven't changed. One keeps screens for two months, then charges a smaller reset fee.

Embroidery digitising

Usually a one-off charge per logo: most fall between £10 and £25, with the full range running from about £5 to £55 for complex logos. The file is kept for repeat orders, and several shops waive it on bigger orders (for example 25+ items, or orders over £150–£250).

DTF

Most DTF sellers publish no setup fee at all. Price is set by transfer size, and often stays the same at any quantity.

Minimums

Most screen printers start at 10–30 pieces, a few at 50. Many embroiderers will do a single item, but price the first few much higher.

Where the numbers come from

Published prices on UK shops’ own websites, read in October 2026: 24 screen print and DTF shops and 27 embroiderers, from one-person studios to large online printers. Only shops that publish a full price table are in the tables above; every shop’s setup and repeat-order rules are in the notes. Shops change their prices, so treat these as a guide, not a quote.
